Smoking - Tobacco Use on Campus

Northampton Community College is 99 percent smoke-free.

Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. These areas are clearly marked, and the use of tobacco waste receptacles is required. Assume you are in a non smoking area unless you see signs to indicate to the contrary.

Monroe Campus:

1. Southwest corner of the parking lot across from the entrance to the Wedge

2. Back parking lot, grass area near basketball hoop

Students may also smoke in their cars.

Compliance will be enforced. Education and treatment will be the primary approach, but violators may also face fines or other action.
