RN/LPN Reactivation
Designed for nurses (RN or LPN) returning to practice, updating their skills or reactivating their Pennsylvania State license. Courses include a clinical, skills lab and a lecture component with an emphasis on nursing process, current nursing practices, nursing trends and ethical/legal issues and pharmacology/drug administration. This course is offered twice a year in fall and spring at the Fowler Family Southside Center.

Designed to review basic nursing knowledge and incorporate information on more recent technological advancements. Course includes a skills lab and lecture component. IV Therapy for LPNs Training
As of February 1, 2013, the Pennsylvania State Board recommendations for LPN IV Therapy training to meet the growing need for patient care involving peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) and other centrally inserted intravenous (IV) access devices. Approved by the State Board of Nursing, the program covers key topics and clinical skills mastery and is designed for currently licensed LPNs. Training is offered: twice a year, with day or evening options, in the fall and spring, at the Fowler Family Southside Center. The next session of this program will be offered in Fall 2013.

Online Classes
Introduction Perioperative Nursing
Offered in partnership with St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network, is offering a non-credit, 16-week distance-learning course in Perioperative Nursing. This course is appropriate for the experienced RN or graduate nurse who wants to work in any of the following settings: an Operating Room (OR), an ambulatory surgery center, or a short procedure unit. RNs who function in units where invasive procedures are performed on a routine basis can also benefit from this course. This program is offered in the fall and spring semesters.

Ed2go Online Certification Courses
Through a partnership with ed2go, we able to offer online, instructor led nursing certificate programs that are applicable for ACT 58 credits. Classes are twelve weeks in duration with new start dates monthly. For more information and to view topics, please visit www.ed2go.com/ncc.
