Continuing Education for Professionals and Paraprofessionals

The Center for Healthcare Education provides accredited continuing education for nurses, early childhood educators, first responders/EMTs, employees in the healthcare food service industry and personal care home administrators. CHE is an approved provider for continuing education contact hours that satisfy ACT 58 license requirements. We also offer re-activation and review programs for RNs and LPNs who have been out of the field.

Early Childhood Educator Professional Development

As a collaborative partner with the Early Childhood Education Linkage System (ECELS/Healthy Child Care Pennsylvania), the Center for Healthcare Education provides health professionals with consultation, training and technical assistance to improve early childhood education programs within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

EMT/First Responders

Continuing education for EMTs and other first responders is available through credit courses and non-credit courses.

Healthcare Food Service/Dietary Management

Are you currently working in the healthcare food service sector and looking to improve your career prospects? CHE's Dietary Management Specialized Diploma can prepare you for supervisory positions within the industry. Northampton is fully accredited by the Dietary Managers Association.

Personal Care Home

CHE has continuing education classes in Personal Care home, as well as a Personal Care Home Administrator program.

CPR/First Aid

CHE offers courses in the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Heartsaver CPR and AED. We also provide health and safety training for child care providers. Learn more about these important training opportunities here.
