Introduction to a four-year degree: The Computer Science curriculum provides an introduction to the field and facilitates successful transfer to a four-year program. Students learn to construct, verify and implement systems by writing and running programs in standard programming languages.
These languages teach students how to represent, store, access, display, edit, and transform information. The program provides a broad background in science and the humanities and integrates principles of mathematics. Computer science itself is related to many fields of study, and along with a baccalaureate degree, graduates will be prepared for positions as software developers, software engineers, programmer analysts, information technology project managers, web developers, IT systems engineers, and more.
