Culinary ArtsOne Degree, Two Options: The hospitality industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy, and offers a career that's exciting and full of unlimited opportunities. From five-star resorts to chic city eateries, there's enough diversity in the field to work in different areas of interest and still be employed within the industry.

With this in mind, NCC offers Applied Science Degree programs with separate Restaurant and Hotel options. Students have the freedom to pursue a degree in the hospitality area that interests them most, and each program is complimented with traditional courses that provide the solid foundation required for any number of hospitality specialties. Both programs provide students an opportunity to explore different facets of the industry, expand their knowledge and discover an ideal career path. Both programs also include a great deal of experiential learning, and require students to complete a management practicum where they will complete an internship and gain valuable experience inside their industry.

In the Restaurant program, students will also gain hands-on working experience at NCC's Hampton Winds fine dining restaurant as well as at campus special events. In the Hotel program, classroom lectures are supplemented by field trips, guest speakers and industry certifications. Course credit or advanced placement options for both programs may exist for students coming from local high schools or vocational schools.
