Lauren Nyemscek

Lauren Nyemscek began teaching art and media classes at NCC's Main and Fowler campus in 2013.   She has her M.Ed from Lehigh University and B.A. from Columbia College, Chicago.  She spent 6 years as a teacher and 3 years in the Film & Entertainment Industry in Chicago and Los Angeles.  Lauren worked as a production assistant on Discovery Channel's "Stunt Junkies".  Her paintings were featured on the MTV pilot, "Banking On Brody" with Brody Jenner and Spencer Pratt; she's sold paintings to George Shapiro (King of Comedy; i.e. Seinfeld producer,) and others in the entertainment industry.

One of her paintings was published in the May 2005 American Libraries national magazine.  She calls her organic approach to art form and color "raw art".  She is currently working on her newest installment, a self-published children's book, in which she is illustrating and authoring.  Lauren's goals are to inspire others and share knowledge while embracing the process.
