Maria Scimone-Rizzi

Maria Gabriella Scimone Rizzi has taught adult Italian classes at NCC from 2008 to 2010 until she moved to Casablanca, Morocco.  She was so enthusiastic about teaching her own language and sharing the Italian culture that she continued doing so also overseas.

Gabriella, as she likes to be called, got her Master's Degree in Chemistry and her Stage (minor) in Energetic Science in Torino, Italy, where she has worked as a high school Chemistry teacher until she moved to the USA in 1995. She also lived in Indiana, Canada and Morocco and finally moved back to Bethlehem in Summer 2016.

She is very happy to resume the Italian classes at Northampton Community College and her goal is to provide a complete learning experience so that students will not only gain knowledge of the Italian language, but will also learn to appreciate the Italian culture and the Italian lifestyle.
