Ying-Fang Jeffers

Ying-Fang Jeffers has been teaching Chinese courses at Huaxia Chinese School Lehigh Valley Branch (HXCS-LV) in the NCC Horizons for Youth program at the Bethlehem Campus of NCC since 2006.  She is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and earned her M.B.A. degree in Tourism from Shih Hsin University in Taipei, Taiwan.  She has been tutoring elementary school students and foreign embassy Officers in Mandarin Chinese for many years in Taipei.  She has completed the 2014 & 2015 STARTALK-CHELER Chinese Leadership Program at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio and also received teachers' continuing professional development courses annually.  Jeffers has been a volunteer coach for students' lion dance performance and Chinese culture knowledge competition. She also initiated a free after-school tutoring program to help students' Chinese homework. Jeffers has received an Appreciation on extraordinary service, dedication to education and outstanding presentation Award from the Headquarters of Huaxia Chinese School during Annual Teachers Conference in 2012 and 2014.
