Emergency Services Administration

The Emergency Services Administration program aims to provide an understanding of the administration and management of emergency services with emphasis on the roles of emergency management coordinators, specialists and managers. The program also stresses to students the value of their research, communication and writing skills, and their interactions with experts in the field. Understanding the infrastructure of emergency management is crucial to success in the program.

It is imperative that students become knowledgeable in administrative principles such as finance, accounting and management.  They are asked to employ critical thinking skills and demonstrate strong communications skills. This includes utilizing computers and working effectively individual and team environments.

Free Credits: The Emergency Services Administration degree contains provisions for a free elective of three credits in addition to the General Education electives. This program can be completed in the day or evening, on a full-time or part-time basis.
