Monroe Stress Buster

A little fun before finals

Ethan and EloiseStudents feeling the pressure of studying for their upcoming finals were given an opportunity to blow off some steam at a Stress Buster event held at the Monroe Campus on December 8.

Participants could pet dogs, sniff some calming aromatherapy mist, relax and stretch with chair yoga, make their own healthy trail mix, sip cucumber-infused water, squeeze stress-ball pigs, or play pong.

The dog-petting station seemed to be the biggest hit. Christine Armstrong, associate professor of communications, brought along yellow Lab Carolina, a dog she's training to  be a Seeing Eye companion. Brother and sister standard poodles Ethan and Eloise, also Seeing Eye hopefuls, were popular, too.
