Being on horseback is nothing new for Taylor Willever. The Northampton Community College business management major has been riding for 16 years, since she was two. Not surprising, since she lives on a horse farm and has a mother who's a professional in the business.
And all that riding has paid off. Willever is currently second in the nation in the 16-17 age division of Large Junior Hunters, a United States Equestrian Federation category of horses. She competes on the national level.
"Each year the top 15-30 riders qualify for what are called 'Indoors,'" Willever explains. "The first show of Indoors is in Maryland, and the week after there's another show in Harrisburg. Then next week I will be traveling to Washington, D.C., and the following week to Kentucky for the last show of horse showing for indoors."
Check out this video of Willever riding her beautiful horse, Eloquence, at this year's Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on October 12.
Good luck, Taylor!
