Transferring from Northampton Community College to East Stroudsburg University just got easier.
On April 30 officials from both schools signed articulation agreements that will ensure that graduates of five different academic programs at NCC can continue their education at ESU and earn a bachelor's degree in those fields within two years of transferring. The fields are business management, criminal justice, hospitality, social work and sport management.
This brings the total number of articulation agreements between NCC and ESU to 22.
In welcoming President Marcia Welsh and other guests from ESU to Northampton, NCC's president, Dr. Mark Erickson said, "We value the partnership we have with you. For us, it's all about pathways for our students and making sure that the pathways are clear for students who want to continue their education."
Welsh said that East Stroudsburg is committed to making the transfer process "seamless." She also talked about the possibility of expanding transfer opportunities in the future.
With the articulation agreements that are already in place, more students transfer from Northampton to East Stroudsburg than to any other college or university.
