The bombings that robbed spectators of their lives and limbs and runners of their joy at the Boston Marathon continue to dominate the news. In this article in The Express-Times, Tim Molchany, assistant professor of communication/theatre at Northampton Community College (NCC), talks about the impact that photos and videos of the carnage have on people and gives suggestions for moving forward.
Earlier in April more than 300 students and many faculty and staff from NCC participated in the "Enough is Enough" campaign seeking an end to violence and a focus on random acts of kindness. It proved more timely than they could have imagined.
