All new ESL students must take the ESL placement test. (Beginners can take ESL I with no test). The COMPASS Placement Test is a computer-based test which will assess your skill levels in reading, listening, and grammar so we know which courses are best for you. Students will also be asked to provide a very brief writing sample. The test is free, and generally takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. You will get the results immediately, and an advisor will help you choose your ESL or even your program courses.
For the Main Campus in Bethlehem Township, testing takes place in Room 215, Richardson Hall. Please click on the link below to view our latest placement testing schedule.
