Clifford Castoral has been instructing Skateboarding through NCC Horizons for Youth at the Fowler Campus since Spring, 2013. Currently, he teaches reading for 6th graders in special education, which corresponds with the RAMP-UP grant through Lehigh University.
Clifford is a graduate student at Lehigh University and will graduate with a Masters in Special Education in May 2014. He graduated from Penn State in 2012, where he studied Special Education.
Besides teaching, skateboarding has been his passion for 12 years. Clifford has taught after school programs and personal instruction through Homebase Skateshop in the past year. He shows not only the proper and safest way to participate in skateboarding, but also provides aspects and influences of the culture.
Skateboarding is not just a physical activity, but the means of livelihood and expression for many people. It is his job to animate that to the diverse participants of the class.
