Kelley R. Atwood, a spirited vocal music educator and performer who has worked with children's choirs at the national level, is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Easton Youth Chorus. For over 20 years, she has worked with voices of all ages in public school, church, and community settings. Mrs. Atwood has chaired the Eastern Division Children's Honor Choir and the National Division High School Multicultural Honor Choir for The American Choral Directors Association.
A choral specialist, Mrs. Atwood has adjudicated multiple high school-level invitational choral festivals and vocal competitions, conducted collegiate choral ensembles, and studied conducting privately.
A classically trained soprano, Mrs. Atwood studied with Julia Kemp, an internationally recognized opera singer and daughter of the renowned pioneer of modern children's choirs, Helen Kemp. Mrs. Atwood has a degree in Music Education with a Choral emphasis from The Pennsylvania State University.
