Mehri Ulas, MD, CHC has been teaching Health and Wellness since 2017 at Northampton Community College's Main campus. She is a Healthy Lifestyle Consultant and Educator with over twenty years of experience in primary and preventive patient care, and clinical research.
Dr. Ulas will teach "How to Stop Stress Eating" in summer 2017 and "Stress Management at Work and Daily Life" in the Fall Semester. These classes will help you understand stress, how it can cause us to turn to food for comfort, and the effects it can leave on our body, mind, and relationships. This course is more than just 'how to manage stress'; it is about equipping you with a fresh perspective on relaxation and effective, natural deep relaxation exercises to address stress at the core. Dr. Ulas aims for students to stay mindful of the present while understanding how to relate one's knowledge to everyday life.
