Hip Hop 50 Years Event: Screening of "Krush Groove"

South Bethlehem's Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at Steelstacks hosts a screening of the 1985 movie Krush Groove, noted for acting and performances by Run DMC, Shelia E., The Fat Boys, Kurtis Blow, New Edition and the unforgettable debut of then 17 year old LL Cool J. This night is a "50 Years Down the Line" event supported by the NCC Foundation Humanities grant. The popular Hip Hop Movie Club podcast crew will be on hand to record a short episode following the movie sharing their analysis, trivia tidbits and prize giveaways. Professor Andrew McIntosh spins a special 80s Hip Hop DJ set prior to movie starting at 6:30 pm. The event will be free and tickets will be able to be reserved in advance at ArtsQuest.org when available.
