Northampton Community College (NCC) hosted Club Fest at Monroe campus and Spartan Fest at Bethlehem campus this spring. These two events provided students with the opportunity to meet with leaders of various clubs and organizations to find ones that align with their interests and passions and connect them with fellow students at the College.
On January 23, students browsed through tables set up by different clubs and organizations at Clubfest. The event featured clubs like film club, active minds, and Phi Theta Kappa honor society, who were there to discuss the benefits of joining. Some of the local area organizations, like Big Brothers Big Sisters, were also present to talk to students about opportunities to volunteer their time in the community. Attendees enjoyed something to eat at the taco bar while they walked around the room in Pocono Hall. This year, Club Fest also featured a custom sock station for anyone who wanted to make some fun footwear for themselves or iron-on decals to make decorative socks for their friends or loved ones.
Spartan Fest was held on January 26, and students noshed on pretzel bites and delicious fruit as they grabbed giveaways at tables where they learned about the different clubs and organizations on Bethlehem campus. There were over 15 clubs and organizations spread out between the Student Life Zone and the Laub Lounge, ranging from Art Connections Club to NCC Dental Club, who gave out toothbrushes and toothpaste to students who stopped by the table.
The welcome back events provided students with the resources and information necessary to become active members of the NCC campus community and to make the most out of their college experience!
