The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Board of Regents named Northampton Community College (NCC) Atheltic Director, Troy Tucker, as board chair, effective this August. Tucker also serves as the executive director of Region 19, overseeing the operations of the 28 NJCAA member colleges and serves as the chief information officer.
In 2018, Tucker was appointed to the NJCAA Board of Regents as the Region 19 representative and was named the Chair of the NJCAA Eligibility Committee in 2020. While serving at the national level, Tucker has shown a deep commitment to the association, advocating for the betterment of its student-athletes and member colleges.
“I’m truly excited to jump into this new role to help the NJCAA continue its upward trajectory. I would like to thank Mr. Mick McDaniel for his dedication and leadership to the association over the past six years as board chair. I am looking forward to working with the NJCAA Board of Regents, college presidents, Dr. Parker, and the national office staff as we strive to provide the best experience possible for our student-athletes and member institutions. My focus will be to prioritize Communication, Collaboration, Collegiality, and Consistency while allowing the mission of the NJCAA to guide our decision-making,” stated Tucker.
