Campus Events Bring Students Together

Students at Northampton Community College (NCC) enjoyed days packed with music, food, and opportunities to get involved at Bethlehem campus Quadfest and Department Fest and Pocono campus Rock the Block held this September. The events offered a variety of activities designed to foster connections, introduce students to new clubs, and provide valuable information on resources at the college.

Students captured memorable moments with peers at a photo booth at Quadfest and tried their hand at axe throwing at Rock the Block. As attendees made their way around, they enjoyed classic snacks like popcorn, soft pretzel bites, snow cones, cookies, and chips, and DJs kept the fun energy alive throughout the events. Other activities included a bean bag toss, giving students a chance to unwind and engage in friendly competition, and bracelet making, where students could imprint their initials on the bracelets.

At Quadfest, international students proudly displayed their country's flag during the festivities. Students could also participate in speed friending, which was part of the Annual Humanities Programming for this year. Students shared personal stories and made new connections.

In addition to the entertainment, members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) were present, offering information on college scholarship opportunities available through PTK membership. PTK has a history of helping students secure substantial financial aid, and many were eager to learn more about how to benefit.

Several student clubs and organizations were at both campuses to showcase their missions and attract new members. Clubs like Good Growers, Pride, Women’s Club, and Climate Action Network, who passed out cupcakes for students to enjoy. Other clubs, such as the Space and Aviation Club, the American Institute of Architecture Students, and the Tabletop Gaming Club, were also on hand to introduce themselves to attendees. Students can learn more about all student clubs across college campus locations here.

At Department Fest, students could learn about areas of interest around the college, such as the Center of Community, Equity, and Inclusion (CCEI) or the Learning Center, where staff discussed the resources they offered and upcoming events. Many tables had giveaways like notepads, backpacks, and stress balls with inspirational messages.

The NCC community looks forward to seeing what awesome things students achieve this semester!  Click here to see photos from Quadfest and Rock the Block.
