The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) honored individuals who support PMVB and the region’s tourism industry at its Fall Marketing Committee Meeting at Camelback Resort in Tannersville this November. Northampton Community College (NCC) Executive Director, Workforce Development and Community Education on Pocono Campus, Dee Raneri, and President David A. Ruth, Ph.D. were among 12 individuals to receive a Valued Partner Award at the event. “NCC’s Pocono campus is pleased to serve as the community college of the Pocono region,” said Ruth.
The campus is in a prime location to promote the tourism industry in the Poconos.
“The Pocono campus has actively supported the tourism industry by offering both credit and noncredit programs to meet the needs of our local employers. Employers and employees at all levels in the industry come to campus to participate in career exploration days for prospective students and share their experiences, explaining career pathways in the field,” said Raneri.
