Quadfest 2019

The Biggest Party of the Fall Semester!

Mia Rossi,

Three Students

You can’t beat a party that has laser tag, food, giveaways and great ways to make new friends and get involved on campus and the community. That party is Quadfest, and the annual welcome back celebration on Bethlehem Campus had students, faculty and staff enjoying the beautiful weather outside in the Quad on August 29 this year.

As the NCC family on Bethlehem Campus made their way out to the Quad, they grabbed popcorn, a snow cone or a hot dog and enjoyed the festivities. The Quad was lined with club tables like Climate Action Network (CAN), Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society, Bad Apple Book Club, Self Defense Club and more. Pride club was ready for a party with their bubble machine, unicorn fans and lollipops, while others like National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) had free donuts and goodies to share! Campus resources, like the Learning Center, were also present to talk to students about how they can use these tools to their advantage throughout the academic year. Community groups and organizations like Family Connection, Crime Victims Council, Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and others were present to talk to students, faculty and staff about community resources or how to volunteer.

Bethlehem celebrated their international students as they paraded through the Quad with the flag that represented their country, ultimately, displaying their flags on stage for all to see.

Towards the end of the party, a Back to College giveaway winner was announced where the student won a fleece NCC blanket, gift cards, a portable charger, and snacks. Along with all the ways to explore the campus and community, this was just one of the many ways NCC wanted to wish students a happy, safe and successful new semester at Quadfest! Monroe Campus will celebrate the start of the semester at their welcome back party on September 4 starting at 11 am in the Courtyard!
