Morotiola Babajide is an applied psychology major at Northampton Community College (NCC). She is passionate about health and wellness and helping others live their best lives. Babajide enjoys writing and communicates her passion through her online blogs, which aim to empower individuals who are struggling with their self-image.
“It is important for people to feel noticed, comfortable and feel like a top priority. I aim to bring this into my future career in psychology,” she says.
Babajide was inspired by the students she met through PTK, who encouraged her to come out of her comfort zone, and she took on a leadership role by founding the college's chapter of the Body Positive Alliance that advocates for the acceptance of all bodies. As a Phi Theta Kappa member, she also makes regular donations to the food pantry and helps with college events.
Babajide will be graduating this spring with plans to transfer to a four-year institution to continue her studies. Ultimately, her goal is to earn a doctoral degree in clinical psychology so that she can apply the importance of both physical and mental health in her career and inspire others to reach their full potential.
