Certified Electronic Health Records Technician
Rapid advances in technology and the transition of healthcare facilities to electronic health records (EHR), has increased the need for certified electronic health records technicians. Job growth within this field is expected to increase much faster than many other healthcare related occupations as more technicians are required to complete the new responsibilities associated with electronic data management. As a Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) you will assist healthcare facilities and Federal Government agencies in the proper handling of electronic patient data, including document management, privacy screening, electronic procedures and compliancy.
Important information: This course is designed to prepare students for the National Healthcareer Association's (NHA) CEHRS certification exam. The $115.00 exam fee is not included in the tuition.
Prerequisites: Students must be 18 years of age, and possess a High School diploma or GED.
