Secondary Education @NCC

Teachers transform lives. The best teachers leave their mark on us long after we've left their classroom. Who was your favorite high school teacher? Chances are, it is a person who believed in you, inspired you and helped direct your energy into positive directions. If you are ready to be that type of leader for students in grades 7-12, NCC's Secondary Education program is for you!

At NCC, you'll develop a set of skills that will enable you to teach in a variety of different ways in order to accommodate every style of learner. The program will prepare you to transfer into a teacher certification program to teach a specific subject (such as English or history) at the high school level, or grades 7-12.

Get your start at NCC and one day students will name you as their favorite teacher!

Now is a great time to get a secondary education degree. In Pennsylvania, there is a demand for teachers in grades 7-12, especially in the sciences. Secondary education is one of the most versatile education programs. You might find yourself in a high-energy middle school classroom, or leading thought-provoking discussions in the high school setting, or eventually teaching at the college level as an adjunct.
