Our hospitality management associate’s degree and specialized diplomas cover specializations in hotel management, restaurant management, and meeting and event planning, and are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).
These programs are available on our Bethlehem and Pocono campuses, and some courses are also online. Graduate with the knowledge, skills and practical experience necessary to advance your career or to transfer to a four-year hospitality management degree program.

The Hotel, Restaurant, and Event Management program covers food preparation techniques, dining room operations, menu planning, cost controls and the fundamentals of beers, wines and spirits, catering and convention services, restaurant administration and strategic leadership. Turn your food and beverage experience into managerial potential in NCC’s Specialized Diploma in Hotel, Restaurant, and Event Management and deepen your understanding of all aspects of restaurant management, including front-of-house business, supervisory duties, and convention services and catering operations. In courses designed with input from industry experts, study dining room operations, food service safety and sanitation, hospitality management and marketing, guest services, and food and beverage management.
State Licensure
If you are a Northampton Community College student living outside of Pennsylvania or intending to complete an internship or clinical placement outside of the state in a NCC program leading to professional licensure, you should review requirements on the state board website to make sure that the program qualifies.
Licensure requirements vary from state to state and you may require additional authorization from the professional licensing agency in that state. Participating in a program from outside of Pennsylvania, if not properly authorized by that state's professional licensing board, could result in loss of licensing eligibility.
