About Robert R. Fehnel
Robert R. Fehnel serves as chair of the Northampton Community College board of trustees, a role he has held since 2014. Prior to that, he served as board vice chair for 10 years and as chair of the board’s finance and college facilities committee, a position he held for 25 years.
A NCC board member since 1986, Mr. Fehnel’s commitment to community service and public education includes more than three decades on local school boards, including 20 years as president of the Wilson Area School Board and eight years on the Easton Area School Board.
He is currently one of three representatives from the Easton Area School District serving as NCC trustees and is an active member of the Chrin Family Foundation board which supports STEM programs for Easton students.
In addition, Mr. Fehnel sits on the executive committee of the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges, an organization for which he also acts as treasurer, having previously served the commission in that capacity for five years.
A 1975 graduate of Northampton Community College, Mr. Fehnel is employed as a PMC Business Analyst for BerkOne in Bethlehem.
