What Is a Guest/Visiting Student?

A guest or visiting student—also referred to as a non-degree-seeking student—is currently enrolled at another college or university and plans to take courses at NCC to transfer those credits to their home university.

Additionally, some guest/visiting students enroll in college-level courses to learn more about a topic of interest, though they do not plan to pursue an entire program.

When Do Guest/Visiting Students Apply?

To give you more flexibility, NCC offers rolling admissions, which means there are no firm deadlines.

  • Fall: 7-, 10-, and 14-week terms
  • Winter: 4-week term
  • Spring: 7-, 10-, and 14-week terms
  • Summer: 4-, 6-, and 10-week terms

As a guest/visiting student, you can register for any of these terms. If you plan to attend NCC in the fall, registration typically opens in late April or early May.

Alternatively, if you wish to enroll in winter, spring, or summer courses, registration typically begins in late October or early November.

Review NCC’s academic calendar for important dates, including registration, add/drop, and tuition bill deadlines.
