As a catering service, our main function is food! Our trained, professional staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of catering services. The quality of your food, however, does not rest upon the chefs alone. Every member of the catering department receives monthly training on food and beverage services, as well as day-to-day experience on the job.

Our commitment is to customize and create a menu for you and your guests with an unforgettable experience. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you! We will be happy to meet with you to review your catering options. Contact us at 610.332.6378, or email Chef Char Hartley at ahartley@northampton.edu, to start planning your event.

Your dining experience is more than great food just like sustainability is more than simply saying we are going green. At NCC Dining we understand the best way to have a better today and a better tomorrow is to be proactive for your health, for your community and for your planet.

If you have a food allergy or intolerance, it is important to learn about the choices you have when dining on campus and to ask questions when you have them. Stop by and visit the dining office and speak to Char Harley or Tim Jackson. They can help you navigate your on campus dining options.

Do you have Celiac Disease or a gluten-intolerance? Learn more on our Gluten-Free Diet resource page.

Our Registered Dietitian is available to answer your questions or discuss your special diet. Sue Hurd, RD visits the Bethlehem Campus monthly but is also available for one-on-one appointments. Please contact dining services at 610.861.4131 to make arrangements.

Sustainability

The NCC Dining Team is dedicated to sustainability. We know we can all work together to make a positive impact right here at Northampton Community College. In addition to the many initiatives we take on as a company, we have implemented the following programs specific to Northampton Community College.

Xprss Napkin Dispensers

On campus we recycle the following products: cardboard, glass, aluminum, paper, plastic.

Xprss Napkin Dispensers save energy and waste.  The napkins are made of 100% recycled paper and the dispenser will encourage customers to take (and waste) fewer napkins. Energy is saved because less power is used to recycle paper products than to create them from virgin material.

Individual packets of condiments are useful in some instances, but they result in extra waste.  If you are dining on site or you can add the sauce to your item before you leave, please use the bulk dispensers to reduce our waste.

French fries to fuel.  Indeed, our fryer oil is recycled into biodiesel that is used to power a variety of vehicles  - from delivery fleets to farm equipment.

The environment and your pocketbook win! Bring your own reusable cup to purchase coffee or a fountain soda on campus and fill up your reusable mug for only $1.00.

92% of the chemicals Sodexo uses are "Green Seal" certified, concentrated or sustainable.

To save energy, we only turn our equipment on when it is needed and turn it off as soon as we are done using it for the day.

We work closely with local produce distributors to maximize the fruits and vegetables purchased from local farms. We also purchase from local dairies, and participate in farm to school initiatives.  Tracking local purchases helps us to meet our Better Tomorrow Plan commitment of 20% local purchase by 2020.

We are committed to serving sustainable seafood and fish.  By 2015 100% of our fish and seafood will be sustainability certified by the Marine Stewardship Council or the Best Aquaculture Practices.  We do not purchase any at risk species.

All of our fluid milk is purchased from local dairies that do not use rBST.
