Our Mission and Vision

The Office of Student Life and Leadership Development offers a variety of programming on- and off-campus, as well as virtually, in accordance with the mission of Northampton Community College and the Division of Student Affairs. Our mission is to create a student-centered environment led by Student Senate and Governance, recognized student clubs, the leadership society and targeted leadership development programs.

Our vision is that every student is involved and engaged in purposeful activities to achieve balanced physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth. Student Life aims to provide leadership opportunities in unison with NCC’s guided pathways that extend well beyond time spent at NCC.

Student Life's foundation includes:

  • Supporting the appreciation, understanding, and advocacy for equity, diversity, and inclusion in conjunction with the College’s position statement.
  • Developing meaningful life skills, encourage personal achievement, and develop involved and responsible citizens
  • Understanding that social outlets and fun can develop valuable skills

Below you can find all of our clubs and organizations as well as our events calendar, but there are other ways to get involved on campus. We have campus-wide standing committees, volunteer opportunities, and even a community chorus. For more information on the chorus, please contact Rosemary Haber rhaber@northampton.edu
