OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Centers are a national network of non-profit organizations authorized by OSHA to deliver occupational safety and health training for all levels of workers. Together with Chesapeake Region Safety Council (CRSC), NCC is a member of the the Mid-Atlantic OSHA Training Institute Education Center (MAOTIEC). The MAOTIEC is committed to providing participants a first class training experience, including but not limited to efficient and expedient registration, convenient, comfortable training accommodations, user-friendly training and reference materials, and thought provoking, congenial classroom instruction offered by the top experts in their respective health and safety fields.

Outreach Training Program (OSHA 10-Hour & 30-Hour Cards)
Our courses provide broad awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on general industry and construction worksites. Training includes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. Participants successfully completing the program will be issued an OSHA 10 or 30-Hr. completion card.
Currently we offer the following training:
10-Hour General Industry
This course is intended to be an orientation to occupational safety and health. This 10-hour program will provide entry-level industry workers with a broad awareness to recognize and prevent hazards and safety issues on a general industry site. Participants will receive an OSHA-10 completion card for attending and completing the program.

30-Hour General Industry
The 30-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is to provide people with some safety responsibility with a broad awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a general industry site. This course will provide an orientation and expansion of information as it relates to occupational safety and health. Participants will be made aware that workers must receive additional training on hazards specific to their job. The training covers a variety of safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a general industry site with an emphasis on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.

10-Hour Construction Industry
The 10-Hour Construction Outreach Program is to provide entry level construction workers a broad awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction worksite. The training covers a variety of safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a construction worksite. Emphasis is placed on OSHA's Focused Four Hazards.

COVID Training/Train the Trainer:
Preparing worksites to safely operate during a pandemic. Includes awareness of available resources, cleaning, disinfecting and the appropriate use of personal protective equipment. Employee interactions to minimize exposure and infection along with business continuity aspects will be also be discussed and explored.
