Why Apply For The CCAMPIS Grant?
You MAY qualify for reduced or no-cost child care at the Hannig Family Children’s Center Monroe Campus or the Reibman Hall Children’s Center Bethlehem Campus while you attend classes and study through the CCAMPIS (Child Care Access Means Parents in School) program.
The purpose of CCAMPIS is to help you – a parent with a young child or children – succeed in school.
CCAMPIS Will Provide:
- Childcare tuition proportionate to the number of college credits enrolled for current semester
- The support of a Family Success Coordinator to guide your use of NCC student success and community resources
- Engagement Events (3 per semester) related to parenting or student success
- PACT (Parents And Children Together) family activities
You May Qualify If You Are:
- The parent of a child who is enrolled at Reibman Hall or Hannig Family Children’s Center. The application process begins at the children’s centers.
- Enrolled in NCC degree/certificate/diploma program (minimum of 12 credits preferred)
- Have a Pell Grant or are eligible for a Pell Grant. This means you must have a specifically determined Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the U.S. Department of Education’s FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), available in the Financial Aid office (610-861-5510 / 570-369-1925).
- Have and/or will maintain a 2.5 Grade Point Average per semester
You Will Commit To:
- Signing the Scholarship Participation Commitment Agreement prior to gaining the benefits of the CCAMPIS grant
- Attending 3 engagement events per fall and spring semester; 1 engagement event per summer session (i.e. parent/teacher workshops, family events, campus/academic events, tutoring services)
- Meeting with the Family Success Coordinator a minimum of 3 times per semester
- Participating in the life of the children’s center by attending family activities
- Submitting a testimonial on a semester basis
