How To Apply For Financial Aid
Applying for financial aid doesn't have to be an intimidating experience. Getting the funds you need to achieve your goals is worth investing the time and energy into the application process. If you have any questions, Northampton's Financial Aid Office is available to assist you in person by stopping by the student enrollment center at the Bethlehem Campus or the Pocono Campus. You may also call 610.861.5510 or email financialaid@northampton.edu.
Before you begin the process, you will need to gather some important documents (like your federal tax information, other income information, and social security number) in order to complete the FAFSA application online at studentaid.gov. Applying for financial aid through the FAFSA is FREE, so be certain you are using the government website. After you submit your FAFSA, please respond promptly to any requests for additional information from the NCC Financial Aid Office.
Follow these steps to get started:
- Go to studentaid.gov
- Create an account (this is your FSA ID) - note that students and parents need their own accounts
- Have your two years prior 1040 Tax Return, Social Security Number, Residency, personal & demographic information readily available
- Complete the FAFSA Application for the academic year that you will be attending
If you need additional assistance completing your FAFSA join us for an upcoming FAFSA Completion Event or check out these tips from the government. PHEAA's Higher Education Access Partners are also available for one-on-one virtual FAFSA sessions on Wednesdays in May from 9 am - 4 pm. Schedule your session today.
